Husband Given 20 Years In Death Of Wife In New Milford

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP)- A 29-year-old Bethel man has been
sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death of his wife in New
Milford last summer.
Russell Perillo had been convicted of manslaughter in February.
He was accused of killing 35-year-old Wendy Jackson-Perillo, who
was found dead in her New Milford apartment in June.
An autopsy found that Jackson-Perillo died of blunt trauma to
the abdomen.
Perillo first told police his wife tripped during an argument
and fell. Eventually he admitted he had punched his wife and then
left.
Her body was found by a friend a few days later.
