Waterford Man Killed In House Fire

WATERFORD, Conn. (AP) - Fire officials are investigating a blaze
at a Waterford home that killed a 55-year-old man.
Police identified the victim as Frank Mather. He died at
Lawrence and Memorial Hospital following the Wednesday night fire.
Fire officials, responding at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday to
investigate smoke, found the house burning and pulled Mather from
the basement.
Officials believe he was the only occupant of the home.
