Fairfield Police Getting Tips In Investigate Of Teen's Death

May 5, 2008, 10:36 AM EDT

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP)- Fairfield police say they're getting a lot of help in their investigation into the shooting death of a teenager last week.

Police say they have gotten several leads in their investigation into the death of 17-year-old Kyle Reid Schneider.

Schneider, a junior at Fairfield Warde High School, was found bleeding and unresponsive at his Congress Street home by his father last Thursday evening. He died of a gunshot wound to the head in what police have ruled a homicide.

Capt. Garry MacNamara says the department is encouraged by the response it's already received from the public.

He says the department is getting a lot of phone calls and people are sharing information.
