Eric Zager
Eric Zager's career in journalism is ripped from the pages of an adventure novel. Upon graduating from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University Eric headed north — about as far as you can travel in the Continental U.S. The call of journalism, not a penchant to play with Polar Bears, brought Eric to the 'Last Frontier', Juneau, Alaska.
His career has spanned five states. He's covered everything from the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill to a heart wrenching abduction and murder of a young girl named Sara Anne Wood. His travels have brought him to "Millionaires' Row" and the backside of Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. As a "one man band" In Oregon, he had often been in the thick of covering major forest fires. He has uncovered numerous scams and scam artists throughout his career.
Eric arrived at Fox 61 in January 2006. He covers a mix of general assignment and investigative stories and has won more than 25 regional, state, and local awards for excellence in journalism. But by far, Eric says his biggest accomplishment far surpasses any award — his daughters.
Eric enjoys reading, running, and skiing. He's constantly in search of a meaningful story to tell.
