Bob Rumbold came home to Connecticut to join the Fox 61 Family in October 1995. A Windsor Locks native, Bob is ecstatic to be back covering his favorite subject, sports on his home turf.

Bob's beat is Sports Reporter and Anchor for the Fox 61 News at Ten, and Fox 61 Sports Ticket. Plus, Bob also reports from the "Front Row," that's the popular segment on Sports Ticket.

Prior to returning to the Nutmeg state, Bob was a sportscaster at WWLP-TV in Springfield, Mass. He was also a sportscaster at WKHT-AM in Manchester. Before that, Bob was Sports Director at WHWH-AM in Princeton, N.J.

Bob began his college career at Emerson College where he played basketball and baseball. He ended up getting his degree in Physical Education from Southern Connecticut State University.

Over the years, Bob has won a number of Associated Press Awards including one for Enterprise Reporting called "Dangerous Bats."

These days, Bob, his wife Cathy, and daughters Diane and Julie, call Simsbury home.
