Brent Hardin
From chasing tornadoes in the Midwest's infamous "Tornado Alley," to reporting live from the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Brent Hardin has had lots of exciting experiences in TV News. He's interviewed interesting and famous people including Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Jay Leno, and even "Jarrod the Subway Sandwich Guy!" He's stood shoulder to shoulder with doctors while they performed a kidney transplant, and he's been honored with a number of broadcasting awards along the way.
Brent and a fellow reporter were honored with a first place Associated Press award and an Emmy nomination for their coverage of a major rowhouse fire in Pennsylvania. Brent was honored with a first place award by the Oklahoma Associated Press, and was named "Environmental Reporter of the Year" by the Oklahoma Sierra Club. His newscast in Kansas City received a Certificate of Merit from the Missouri Association of Broadcasters. Most recently, Fox 61 News at Ten, anchored by Brent and Susan Christensen was named "Best Newscast" by the Connecticut Associated Press, and The News at Ten team was honored with an Emmy award, for their coverage of a Memorial service for six Worcester firefighters.
Brent grew up in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, and Houston. Since entering TV news, he's lived in Tulsa, Harrisburg, and Kansas City. This is Brent's first "foray" into New England, and he and his wife and two daughters are loving every minute of it. They live in Avon.
