Fox 61 WTIC-TV To Launch Morning News In Spring

The award-winning, top-rated Fox 61 News team is expanding. Today Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61, WTIC-TV, announced the station's plan to launch The Fox 61 Morning Show a morning newscast in the spring.
Fox 61 is currently in final negotiations with several potential key partners to create a morning show unlike any other in Connecticut.
"We are very excited to be joining the morning news race. I believe the time is right because of the momentum created by the success of the award winning Fox 61 News At Ten. I am confident that success will continue with the Fox 61 Morning Show," said Graziano.
The Fox 61 Morning Show will be produced by the same team that has made Fox 61 News at Ten a consistent market leader. On election night more Connecticut viewers turned to Fox 61 News at Ten than any other 10 or 11 pm newscast.
This year Fox 61 News at Ten was honored with five Emmy Awards, more than all the other Connecticut news organizations combined and was also the recipient of two prestigious awards from the Associated Press.
