Woodcock Nature Center
It's a Natural Escape!

Located on the Wilton/Ridgefield border, this private, non-profit institute a haven for aquatic life and rich with a remarkable variety of birds.

Visitors to the WNC 146 acres will find miles of easy hiking trails beside historic stone walls and stands of old maple, beech, oak and hickory. An Everglades-style boardwalk allows rare access through part of the rich, abundant wetlands nestled in these prime, New England woods.

WNC has been a source of environmental education since 1972, and has recently expanded its staff, programs, and trails. Today, its on-site classroom and live animal exhibits, as well as our off-site, in-school instruction offer a broad range of year-round environmental activities for all ages. In graceful surroundings, young and old can experience the rich, renewing world of nature.
