Nature's Art in Montville
Find Hidden Treasure And Pan For Gold
Sarah Cody,
This reproduction of a California gold mine doesn't just look authentic! All you need is a pan to find a hidden treasure. There's approximately 18 inches of soft gravel with gemstones hidden in the gravel. Nature's Art is a one-of-a-kind science center focused on mining and paleontology, though the adults play too! It aims to teach kids an appreciation of history in all corners of the country.
Downstairs in the Bone Zone, handy work is needed to discover what lies beneath! There is a rare replica of a 45-ft-long Tylosaur and bones of a Stegasaurus. Also, an ancient gas bubble or "greode" dating back 40 million years teaches a lesson while an outdoor park brings a lost world to life!
