American Clock & Watch Museum
Take some time to check out this collection!
The American Clock & Watch Museum has the finest collection of
American manufactured clocks and watches in the world, many of which were made here in Connecticut.
The museum's gateway exhibit, "Connecticut Clockmaking and the Industrial Revolution", documents clock manufacturing's pioneering contributions to the American system of manufacture and its social impact on the country.
"Clocks have an appeal to many people that's even above and beyond other collectibles like china because, by ticking, they almost have a heartbeat like a living person," said Museum curator Chris Bailey.
