Victims In Stonington Fatal Motorcycle Crash Identified

STONINGTON —
The victims of a fatal motorcycle crash in the Mystic section of town Wednesday have been identified as a 26-year-old woman from Noank and a 33-year-old man from Ledyard, police said.
The accident that claimed the lives of Morna Marolda and Lenn Eller remains under investigation. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Stonington police received a call about the accident on Hewitt Road at 1:04 a.m. It appears the motorcycle, carrying both victims, went out of control when the driver failed to negotiate a turn in the road, police said.
The motorcycle came to rest on the front lawn of a house. Neither of the victims were wearing helmets, police said.
