Garett Argianas
Garett joined Fox 61 in October 2007as the chief meteorologist.
Garett's hometown is Shelton, and being a Connecticut native, he's very familiar with the sometimes treacherous Northeast weather. In recent years, he has forecasted some of the biggest Northeast winter storms, as well as provided extended severe thunderstorm and tornado coverage.
Before coming to Fox 61, Garett was the weekend meteorologist and chief weather producer at NBC 30. Prior to that, he worked at WRGB-TV in Albany, New York.
Not only is Garett a familiar face to Connecticut news viewers, Garett is also a familiar voice to Little League players and fans. In the summer, Garett is a stadium announcer for the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn. and a stadium announcer at the Little League Baseball East Region Tournament in Bristol.
Garett is a graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY and has a BS in Atmospheric Science and a BS in Mathematics. He also holds the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval for TV Weathercasting.
