Fox 61 News At Ten Names Garett Argianas New Chief Meteorolgist

HARTFORD --
(HARTFORD) Fox 61 News at Ten has named Connecticut native, Garett Argianas, Chief Meteorologist effective immediately. Argianas, who grew up in Shelton and currently resides in downtown Hartford, has covered breaking weather and major storms throughout the state. He comes to Fox 61 from NBC 30 WVIT where he was the Weekend Evening Meteorologist. Argianas was a National Scholarship Recipient of the American Meteorological Society and also received their Television Seal of Approval.
"We are pleased to add Garett to our talented anchor team. He is a local guy with contagious energy who will compliment our award winning newscast," - Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61, WTIC-TV.
Prior to WVIT, Argianas was a meteorologist for WRGB-TV in Schenectady, NY. He also was an instructor at the University at Albany for an introductory meteorology course.
"I'm thrilled to join the number one late news team in Connecticut," said Argianas.
Argianas graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Atmospheric Science and Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics from University at Albany, State University of New York.
