Fox 61 WTIC-TV/CW 20 WtXX-TV Names New Controller

HARTFORD — (HARTFORD) Fox 61/CW 20 has named Jennifer Dekarz as Controller effective immediately. Dekarz was previously Accounting Manager at Southern Connecticut Newspapers, Inc., The Advocate and Greenwich Time properties. She comes to Fox 61 with 12 years of service with the Tribune Company.

"Jen is an illustration of the talent we have been able to promote from within Tribune. Jen's experience, work ethic and dynamic personality will take FOX 61 and CW20 to even higher standards," said Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61, WTIC-TV.

Dekarz began her career with Tribune in 1995 when she joined the Tribune Broadcasting station WBDC (now WDCW) in Washington D.C. She served in numerous positions throughout the Finance Department including Senior Accountant, Supervisor of Accounting, and Manager of Financial Reporting.

"This is a great opportunity for me to continue my career within Tribune and I am thrilled to return to the Broadcasting group. There is a great management team and staff here in Hartford, and I am happy to be joining them. I look forward to being a part of the continuing success of both Fox 61 and CW 20," said Dekarz.

Dekarz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
