
Fox 61 News at Ten Wins Two Associated Press Awards

HARTFORD —
The Connecticut Associated Press awarded the Fox 61 News At Ten with two prestigious awards at their annual banquet on April 13, 2007. Reporter Eric Zager won Best Investigative report for his story about probate courts called "Dying for Dollars," and reporter John Charlton and photographer Earl Glazier won Best Feature-Quick Hit for their story "Playground Pennies". The AP Awards honor broadcasters for significant achievements over the past year.
"The awards are truly a reflection of the great people we have and the work that we do," said Fox 61 News At Ten Director, Bob Rockstroh. "It is also an honor to be recognized by your peers."
In addition to the two awards, reporter Jim Altman received three honorable mentions and reporter John Charlton received an honorable mention as well as photographer Mike Piskorski.
In February Fox 61 News at Ten was watched by more Connecticut viewers than any other 10 or 11 P.M. newscast. This month Fox 61 News at Ten received 15 Emmy nominations, more than any other Connecticut station.
