
FOX 61 NEWS AT TEN IS # 1 AGAIN

Fox 61 News at Ten was watched by more Connecticut viewers than any other 10 or 11 pm newscast during February. According to research just released by the benchmark independent research firm, Nielsen Media Research, on an average night approximately 100,000 people watched Fox 61 News at Ten, beating out WFSB's 11 pm newscast with 98,000 people watching, WTNH's 11 pm news with 91,000 viewers and WVIT's 11 pm News with 78,000 people viewing.
In addition to being a consistent market leader, Fox 61 News has also been awarded the prestigious honor by the Associated Press (AP) as Connecticut's Best Newscast. For a remarkable sixth time, the AP awarded Fox 61 with the coveted Mark Twain Award for Overall Station Excellence in 2006.
According to Richard Graziano, Vice President and General Manager of Fox 61, WTIC-TV "Our emphasis has always been on delivering Connecticut's most comprehensive and informative News program. It's very gratifying that more of the Connecticut Audience is watching the News at Ten than any other station. It's a major testament to the hard work and skilled professionalism of all of the people at Fox 61."
